The price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,558.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,500.00 – 5,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Study For An Illustration To Jacob Cats, 'Eighty Two Years Old' is the most expensive artwork by Jan Goeree that we have observed at auctions so far.
