Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Design for a title page by Jan Goeree was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2015. It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,375.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Goeree have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Study For An Illustration To Jacob Cats, 'Eighty Two Years Old' in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,558.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Design for a title page von Jan Goeree kam im Mai 2015 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.375,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Goeree auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Study For An Illustration To Jacob Cats, 'Eighty Two Years Old' im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.558,49).
