In June 2010 Christies in New York held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art Including Select Works From the Salander-O'Reilly Galleries, which included the work Bredouille by David Col. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,136.03) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Col - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The tasting, which sold at auction in April 2001 for USD 19,975.00 (€ 22,509.58).
