Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work A Merry Company by Jan Cossiers. It changed hands for a price of USD 56,250.00 (€ 38,731.67) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Cossiers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Parable Of The Prodigal Son in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 662,500.00 (€ 852,857.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Merry Company von Jan Cossiers zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 38.731,67) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Cossiers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Parable Of The Prodigal Son im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 662.500,00 (€ 852.857,20).
