Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A still life with a cartwheel, a bottle and a newspaper in a basket by Jan Bor was sold in the TWENTIETH CENTURY ART auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2000. The price achieved of NLG 14,042.40 (€ 6,578.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as NLG 12,000.00 – 16,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Bor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Zelfportret in geel jasje in November 2000 with an auction result of NLG 84,254.40 (€ 39,471.84).
