Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Still life with an Autumn Bouquet by Jan Bogaerts was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in June 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 2,016.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Bogaerts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A colourful summer bouquet in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 38,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Still life with an Autumn Bouquet von Jan Bogaerts im Juni 2021 bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 2.016,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Bogaerts erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A colourful summer bouquet im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 38.400,00.
