Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The triumph of the Eucharist over Idolatry by Jan Boeckhorst was auctioned at Christies in New York in October last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 20,160.00 (€ 20,293.94) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jan Boeckhorst have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Alexander The Great Crowning Roxana in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 135,220.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The triumph of the Eucharist over Idolatry von Jan Boeckhorst kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 20.160,00 (€ 20.293,94) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Boeckhorst auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Alexander The Great Crowning Roxana im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 135.220,41).
