Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Jeune Fleuriste; Enfant À La Pomme by Jan Baptist Huysmans was sold in the Regards sur l'Orient: Orientalist Paintings and Sculptures - Islamic Art auction at Sothebys in Paris in June 2010. The price achieved of EUR 4,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Baptist Huysmans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Un nuage en plein soleil: A plume of smoke in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 217,250.00 (€ 276,018.57).

Die Arbeit La Jeune Fleuriste; Enfant À La Pomme von Jan Baptist Huysmans wurde im Juni 2010 in der Auktion Regards sur l'Orient: Orientalist Paintings and Sculptures - Islamic Art bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Baptist Huysmans erzielen.
