Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Curated: Asia | JAY CHOU x SOTHEBY’S | Day Sale, which included the work Camel by Jammie Holmes. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 478,800.00 (€ 52,010.09), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jammie Holmes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work First Birthday, which sold at auction in May 2021 for HKD 1,500,000.00 (€ 158,561.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Curated: Asia | JAY CHOU x SOTHEBY’S | Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Camel von Jammie Holmes zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 478.800,00 (€ 52.010,09) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jammie Holmes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit First Birthday beobachtet, die im Mai 2021 für HKD 1.500.000,00 (€ 158.561,59) versteigert wurde.
