Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Himalayan Landscape) by Jamini Prakash Gangooly was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Bonhams in London in May last year. The price achieved of GBP 4,462.50 (€ 5,249.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jamini Prakash Gangooly have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Demon in my Dreadful Dream during Delirium in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 44,100.00 (€ 37,554.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Himalayan Landscape) von Jamini Prakash Gangooly wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.462,50 (€ 5.249,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jamini Prakash Gangooly auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Demon in my Dreadful Dream during Delirium im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 37.554,29).
