In October 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Pop x Culture, which included the work Damn Them All, 2005 by Jamie Reid. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 701.25 (€ 778.68), 40% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jamie Reid achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Learn from the past, Live in the present, Look to the future (Blue), 2011 in October last year with an auction result of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 11,882.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Pop x Culture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Damn Them All, 2005 von Jamie Reid zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 701,25 (€ 778,68) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jamie Reid erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Learn from the past, Live in the present, Look to the future (Blue), 2011 im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 11.882,89).
