Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'A bit on the coast near Netley' by James Webb was sold in the The Marine Sale auction at Bonhams in London in November 2020. The price achieved of GBP 3,570.00 (€ 3,985.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Webb achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ansicht von Köln mit dem unvollendeten Dom in May 2020 with an auction result of EUR 185,938.00.
