Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Confidence; and Disappointment by James Ward was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2021. The price achieved of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 102,611.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by James Ward have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Terrier, Stoat And Dead Rabbit In A Rocky Landscape in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 512,000.00 (€ 752,192.71).

Die Arbeit Confidence; and Disappointment von James Ward kam im Juli 2021 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 102.611,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Ward auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Terrier, Stoat And Dead Rabbit In A Rocky Landscape im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 512.000,00 (€ 752.192,71).
