In June 2011 Christies in London held the auction Sporting& Wildlife Art, which included the work Three Good Greys by James Thomas Wheeler. The result of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,212.63) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Other works by James Thomas Wheeler have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2014 the work A Shetland Pony And A Pug was auctioned for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,183.83).
