Auction result well in line with expectations
The work In The Farmyard by James Thomas Wheeler was sold in the Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs auction at Christies in London in June 2006. The price achieved of GBP 384.00 (€ 555.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by James Thomas Wheeler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Shetland Pony And A Pug in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,183.83).
