Auction result well in line with expectations
The work View across the field to the church by James Stark was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2007. The price achieved of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,782.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Stark achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Wooded Landscape With Figures On A Track, A Cottage Beyond in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 34,727.60).
