Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work A Drover And His Flock In A Wooded Landscape by James Stark. The price achieved of GBP 2,760.00 (€ 4,028.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by James Stark have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Wooded Landscape With Figures On A Track, A Cottage Beyond in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 34,727.60).

Im Mai 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Drover And His Flock In A Wooded Landscape von James Stark zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.760,00 (€ 4.028,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Stark auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Wooded Landscape With Figures On A Track, A Cottage Beyond im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.000,00 (€ 34.727,60).
