Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Lady Marjorie Banks, Standing Full-Length, In A White Dress With Black Lace Trim, And A Blue Hat by James Sant was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,182.50 (€ 6,093.37) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Sant achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of the Misses Wilson of Tranby Croft, full-lengths, one standing, in pale blue satin dresses, in a garden in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 77,675.00 (€ 121,635.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Lady Marjorie Banks, Standing Full-Length, In A White Dress With Black Lace Trim, And A Blue Hat von James Sant kam im September 2004 bei Christies in London zur Auktion.
