A top price for James Sant - as previously expected
In November 2002 Christies in London held the auction IMPORTANT BRITISH ART, which included the work Portrait of the Misses Wilson of Tranby Croft, full-lengths, one standing, in pale blue satin dresses, in a garden by James Sant. The price achieved of GBP 77,675.00 (€ 121,635.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 100,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Portrait of the Misses Wilson of Tranby Croft, full-lengths, one standing, in pale blue satin dresses, in a garden is the most expensive artwork by James Sant that we have observed at auctions so far.
