Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Winter Sun by James Downie Robertson was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2005. The price achieved of GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,308.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Downie Robertson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Winter Landscape, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,478.23).

Die Arbeit Winter Sun von James Downie Robertson kam im Oktober 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.308,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von James Downie Robertson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Winter Landscape beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 7.800,00 (€ 11.478,23) versteigert wurde.
