Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by James Downie Robertson was auctioned at Christies in London in January 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 312.50 (€ 377.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Downie Robertson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Winter Landscape in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,478.23).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von James Downie Robertson kam im Januar 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 312,50 (€ 377,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Downie Robertson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Winter Landscape im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.800,00 (€ 11.478,23).
