Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Paintings, which included the work Grapes, plums, with an apple, pear and raspberry on a bank by James Poulton. The price achieved of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,505.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Other works by James Poulton have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2003 the work Grapes, plums, peaches, a pear, a pineapple, a chilli, a melon, and a wicker basket, on a wooden ledge was auctioned for GBP 1,645.00 (€ 2,519.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Grapes, plums, with an apple, pear and raspberry on a bank von James Poulton zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.505,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von James Poulton konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Januar 2003 die Arbeit Grapes, plums, peaches, a pear, a pineapple, a chilli, a melon, and a wicker basket, on a wooden ledge für GBP 1.645,00 (€ 2.519,50) versteigert.
