Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Navy Needs You! Don'T Read American History, Make It! by James Montgomery Flagg was auctioned at Bonhams in February this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 765.00 (€ 872.58) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Montgomery Flagg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work I Want You For U.S. Army in May 2014 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,985.89).

Die Arbeit The Navy Needs You! Don'T Read American History, Make It! von James Montgomery Flagg kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 765,00 (€ 872,58) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Montgomery Flagg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit I Want You For U.S. Army im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.985,89).
