In May 2014 Christies in London held the auction Vintage Posters, which included the work I Want You For U.S. Army by James Montgomery Flagg. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,985.89), 35% above the upper estimate. With this result, I Want You For U.S. Army is even the most expensive work of art by James Montgomery Flagg that we have observed at auctions so far.
