Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by James MacMaster could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Watercolours auction, the work The Road To Waltham Abbey changed hands for GBP 180.00 (€ 263.50) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James MacMaster achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ayr Harbour in March 2004 with an auction result of GBP 2,270.50 (€ 3,398.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von James MacMaster konnte im Juli 2006 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours wechselte die Arbeit The Road To Waltham Abbey für GBP 180,00 (€ 263,50) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James MacMaster erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ayr Harbour im März 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.270,50 (€ 3.398,73).
