Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Over the jump; and Early morning exercise by James Lynwood Palmer was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 896.25 (€ 1,333.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Lynwood Palmer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Horses in an extensive landscape with figures beyond in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 25,145.48).
