This artwork by James le Jeune achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Dublin in November this year. In the The Irish SaleVision & Voice auction, the work Portrait of a Man sold for EUR 1,536.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James le Jeune achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Market at Annecy, France in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 9,987.50 (€ 16,744.27).

Dieses Kunstwerk von James le Jeune erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Dublin einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Irish SaleVision & Voice wurde die Arbeit Portrait of a Man für EUR 1.536,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James le Jeune erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Market at Annecy, France im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.987,50 (€ 16.744,27).
