This artwork by James le Jeune achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2018. In the A Living Legacy: Irish Art from the Collection of Brian P. Burns auction, the work Dalkey Island, Co. Dublin sold for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,574.72) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by James le Jeune; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Market at Annecy, France sold at auction in May 2001 with the realized price of GBP 9,987.50 (€ 16,744.27).

Burns wurde die Arbeit Dalkey Island, Co. Dublin für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.574,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00.
