Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by James Jarvis achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in an online auction in October 2019. In the 24/7 auction, the work Two Works: (i) Untitled (ii) Untitled sold for HKD 16,250.00 (€ 1,857.35) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by James Jarvis; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled (Three Works) sold at auction in May 2021 with the realized price of HKD 27,720.00 (€ 2,930.22).

Dieses Kunstwerk von James Jarvis erzielte im Oktober 2019 bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 24/7 wurde die Arbeit Two Works: (i) Untitled (ii) Untitled für HKD 16.250,00 (€ 1.857,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 8.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von James Jarvis; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Untitled (Three Works) im Mai 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 27.720,00 (€ 2.930,22).
