Admittedly, works by James Hayllar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Only Daughter in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 41,825.00 (€ 61,063.18).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 13.476,18) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Hayllar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Only Daughter im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 41.825,00 (€ 61.063,18).
