Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Guilty Or Not Guilty by James Hayllar was sold in the A GREAT BRITISH COLLECTION: The pictures collected by Sir David and Lady Scott, sold to benefit the Finnis Scott Foundation auction at Sothebys in London in November 2008. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,602.10). Admittedly, works by James Hayllar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Only Daughter in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 41,825.00 (€ 61,063.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Guilty Or Not Guilty von James Hayllar wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion A GREAT BRITISH COLLECTION: The pictures collected by Sir David and Lady Scott, sold to benefit the Finnis Scott Foundation bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.602,10) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Hayllar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Only Daughter im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 41.825,00 (€ 61.063,18).
