In April 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Trevone Bay, Padstow by James Millar. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,266.94), 61% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Millar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of A Gentleman, Full-Length, In A Green Coat, Holding A Gun, Two Dogs And A Partridge At His Feet, In A Wooded Landscape in May 2006 with an auction result of GBP 28,800.00 (€ 42,038.62).

Im April 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Trevone Bay, Padstow von James Millar zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.266,94) und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Millar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of A Gentleman, Full-Length, In A Green Coat, Holding A Gun, Two Dogs And A Partridge At His Feet, In A Wooded Landscape im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.800,00 (€ 42.038,62).
