Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sitting in the sun by James Fullarton was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Bonhams in May this year. The price achieved of GBP 510.00 (€ 593.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Fullarton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still life on white cloth in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 7,050.00 (€ 11,218.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sitting in the sun von James Fullarton wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 510,00 (€ 593,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Fullarton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still life on white cloth im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.050,00 (€ 11.218,77).
