Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Bonhams held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Farmhouse near Crosshill by James Fullarton. The price achieved of GBP 573.75 (€ 667.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Fullarton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still life on white cloth in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 7,050.00 (€ 11,218.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Farmhouse near Crosshill von James Fullarton zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 573,75 (€ 667,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Fullarton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still life on white cloth im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.050,00 (€ 11.218,77).
