Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work The Storm - Castle Rock by James Everett Stuart for USD 6,250.00 (€ 3,954.44). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Everett Stuart - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Indian Salmon Fishing Camp at Celilo on the Columbia River, Oregon., which sold at auction in April last year for USD 11,475.00 (€ 10,890.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Storm - Castle Rock von James Everett Stuart für USD 6.250,00 (€ 3.954,44) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Paintings bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00.
