Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Excelsior Geyser or Hell's Half Achre (sic) by James Everett Stuart was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. The price achieved of USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,464.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Everett Stuart - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Indian Salmon Fishing Camp at Celilo on the Columbia River, Oregon., which sold at auction in April last year for USD 11,475.00 (€ 10,890.20).
