This artwork by James E. Bama achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in December 2009. In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work Southern Cheyenne Warrior sold for USD 43,750.00 (€ 30,526.10) - well above the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by James E. Bama; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Francis Setting Eagle - Oldest Living Arapahoe, Wind River Reservation, Wyoming sold at auction in August 2019 with the realized price of USD 52,575.00 (€ 47,843.30).

Dieses Kunstwerk von James E. Bama erzielte im Dezember 2009 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture wurde die Arbeit Southern Cheyenne Warrior für USD 43.750,00 (€ 30.526,10) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00.
