Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2010 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work The Young Mountain Man by James E. Bama. The »bidding war« ended at USD 17,500.00 (€ 12,938.05), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James E. Bama - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Francis Setting Eagle - Oldest Living Arapahoe, Wind River Reservation, Wyoming, which sold at auction in August 2019 for USD 52,575.00 (€ 47,843.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2010 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Young Mountain Man von James E. Bama zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 12.938,05) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von James E. Bama mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Francis Setting Eagle - Oldest Living Arapahoe, Wind River Reservation, Wyoming beobachtet, die im August 2019 für USD 52.575,00 (€ 47.843,30) versteigert wurde.
