Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by James Cresser Tarr could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British, Continental and Russian Pictures auction, the work A busy afternoon on City Road, Cardiff changed hands for GBP 480.00 (€ 712.38) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Cresser Tarr - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cornfield, which sold at auction in March 2005 for GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,796.28).

In der Auktion British, Continental and Russian Pictures wechselte die Arbeit A busy afternoon on City Road, Cardiff für GBP 480,00 (€ 712,38) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00.
