The work Self-Portrait With Wife by James Cresser Tarr was sold in the TWENTIETH CENTURY BRITISH ART auction at Christies in London in December 2003. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 646.25 (€ 915.33), 29% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Cresser Tarr - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cornfield, which sold at auction in March 2005 for GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,796.28).

Die Arbeit Self-Portrait With Wife von James Cresser Tarr wurde im Dezember 2003 in der Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY BRITISH ART bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 646,25 (€ 915,33) und damit 29% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von James Cresser Tarr mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cornfield beobachtet, die im März 2005 für GBP 1.920,00 (€ 2.796,28) versteigert wurde.
