In October 2014 Artcurial held the auction Post War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Le Depart by James Coignard. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,885.00 57% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by James Coignard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Clavier in April 2009 with an auction result of EUR 14,640.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 57 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2014 führte Artcurial die Auktion Post War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Depart von James Coignard zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.885,00 und damit 57% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Coignard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Clavier im April 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 14.640,00.
