A top price for James Charles Ward - as previously expected
In November 2002 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH PICTURES 1500-1850, which included the work Still life of grapes, peaches, plums, cherries, redcurrants, a gourd and a parrot on a stone ledge by James Charles Ward. The price achieved of GBP 20,315.00 (€ 31,812.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Still life of grapes, peaches, plums, cherries, redcurrants, a gourd and a parrot on a stone ledge is the most expensive artwork by James Charles Ward that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im November 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH PICTURES 1500-1850 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still life of grapes, peaches, plums, cherries, redcurrants, a gourd and a parrot on a stone ledge von James Charles Ward zur Versteigerung kam.
