Here, the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,785.77). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Charles Ward - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still life of grapes, peaches, plums, cherries, redcurrants, a gourd and a parrot on a stone ledge, which sold at auction in November 2002 for GBP 20,315.00 (€ 31,812.24).

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.785,77) einen neuen Besitzer.
