Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2003 Christies in London held the auction AT HOME-BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER, which included the work Grapes, strawberries, a peach, a pear, red and whitecurrants with a bird's nest on a ledge by James Charles Ward. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 881.25 (€ 1,266.40). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Charles Ward achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still life of grapes, peaches, plums, cherries, redcurrants, a gourd and a parrot on a stone ledge in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 20,315.00 (€ 31,812.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion AT HOME-BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER durch, in der auch die Arbeit Grapes, strawberries, a peach, a pear, red and whitecurrants with a bird's nest on a ledge von James Charles Ward zur Versteigerung kam. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still life of grapes, peaches, plums, cherries, redcurrants, a gourd and a parrot on a stone ledge im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.315,00 (€ 31.812,24).
