Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Flowers and fruit by James Bolivar Manson was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,625.00 (€ 2,330.13) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by James Bolivar Manson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Light Lunch in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,212.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Flowers and fruit von James Bolivar Manson kam im September 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 2.330,13) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Bolivar Manson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Light Lunch im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.212,82).
