The work Cendrillon by Jean-Baptiste Bertrand was sold in the Tableaux anciens et du XIXe siècle auction at Christies in Paris in June 2012. The result of EUR 10,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Baptiste Bertrand achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ophelia in July 2017 with an auction result of GBP 97,500.00 (€ 108,795.03).

Die Arbeit Cendrillon von Jean-Baptiste Bertrand wurde im Juni 2012 in der Auktion Tableaux anciens et du XIXe siècle bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 10.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Baptiste Bertrand erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ophelia im Juli 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 97.500,00 (€ 108.795,03).
