Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Landscape, View Taken In The County Of Wicklow by James Arthur O'Connor was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,042.21). Admittedly, works by James Arthur O'Connor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Ford - A mountainous river landscape with a figure with a wagon and horses at a ford in May 2004 with an auction result of GBP 33,460.00 (€ 50,202.32).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Landscape, View Taken In The County Of Wicklow von James Arthur O'Connor im Mai 2008 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
