Here, the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 11,162.50 (€ 17,763.05). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Arthur O'Connor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Ford - A mountainous river landscape with a figure with a wagon and horses at a ford, which sold at auction in May 2004 for GBP 33,460.00 (€ 50,202.32).
