Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by James Archer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2010. In the The Scottish Sale auction, the work Robert Kerss, Gamekeeper And Fisherman At Mounteviot sold for GBP 37,250.00 (€ 43,083.58) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Archer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Betrothal of Robert Burns and Highland Mary, which sold at auction in February 2003 for GBP 74,090.00 (€ 108,169.06).

Dieses Kunstwerk von James Archer erzielte im September 2010 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis.
