In the IMPORTANT BRITISH AND IRISH ART auction, the work The Sancgreall, King Arthur Healed of His Grievous Wound changed hands for GBP 36,000.00 (€ 52,888.55) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Archer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Betrothal of Robert Burns and Highland Mary, which sold at auction in February 2003 for GBP 74,090.00 (€ 108,169.06).
